Jayne:
As to your Sauna materials, why don't you post them? It is hard for me to imagine how one kind of sweat could clear out more heavy metals than another, but I have learned a lot of things that I did not imagine before. And you are reminding me to get my heavy metals tested. I have not had such a test for many years now, I think the last one was a "challenge" EDTA chelation where they measured the amounts extracted. What kind of heavy metal test do you depend on? Fingernail clipping?

As to the EDTA treatments, I also stopped after 2-3, figuring I could depend on my chelating supplements and exercise as you said.

Also I have done 20-30 sessions of EDTA chelation for plaque removal. I stopped when my blood pressure dropped from above average (not high) to really low. I definitely think it works but it is quite expensive. Apparently exercise also acts as a mild chelation. Given you have to sit with a needle in your arm for 3 hours each time, you are probably better off going for a 3 hour strenuous walk! Also my doctor is on the ACAM board for chelation protocols she is an expert and has switched to the FIR sauna treatment instead. So that says something

My doctor sent me some reference material I could send through. Apparently these Far infrared saunas were used to detoxify firemen after 9/11. The claim is that while ordinary sauna sweat is 2% toxins the FIR sauna sweat is 20% toxins. While my husband has normal mercury hair levels with huge dental fillings I have excessive levels with no silver fillings! But normally I don't sweat so perhaps it depends on the person's ability to excrete heavy metals

OK Res. You have me up against the wall on this one. I don't exactly remember why I decided against Deprenyl; I just know I had a reason. I will put it in my research hopper and get back to you and others on this question.
Because as of I see in the experiments, only Deprenyl is showing that extends the max life span of animals. Not others.

Thanks Vince

Any specific reason you have decided against Deprenyl?

Hi Res

As far as nootropics are concerned I have been taking Pirecetam and Centrophenoxine for about 10 years now. I had a hard look at adding Deprenyl about 4 years back but decided against it because I decided it was redundant of other things I was taking. I do mention Piracetam a number of times in my treatise, you might try searching for the word. http://www.vincegiuliano.name/Antiagingfirewalls.htm If I am not mistaken, also, it is Centrophenoxine, not Piracetam that pumps out lipofuscin. "I take two supplements which have a capability to pump lipofuscin out of cells. One is meclofenoxate (centrophenoxine) a ‘smart drug” used in Europe to treat symptoms of senile dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The other is acetyl-l-carnitine, a pluripotent antioxidant also useful for mitochondrial health."

Take care
Dear Vince

Have you thought about the nootropics? Piracetam and Deprenyl?

Deprenyl is shown to extend the maximum life span of the lab animals.

Piracetam removes the lipofuscin in the brain.

I tried to search in your writings regarding these.(because I value your opinion) Could not find any ref
