I did a little casting around and found some mentions of GLA and centenarioans and HDL in the blogosphere. The most direct hit, in fact, was your own comment above. I failed to turn up anything in the research literature, however. It may be there but, if so, it may take some digging to turn it up.

From what I recall, GLA (Gamma Linoleic Acid) promotes a specific HDL profile that is present in centenarians. This needs more followup.
